Fellowships

St. John's fellowship program is comprehensive and intensive training program in diagnosis, operative, and conservative management of adult degenerative and traumatic conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine in a highly specialized spine practice. The program offers extensive training with three spine surgeons. The spine practice performs 800 to 1,000 procedures per year.

The fellowship will embrace:

· State of the art biologic and mechanical technologies such as disc/nucleus replacements, dynamic posterior stabilization, disc regenerative treatments, etc.
· Spinal reconstructive surgery for cervical, thoracic and lumbar degenerative, tumor and traumatic conditions
· Anterior and posterior instrumentation of the entire spine
· Minimal invasive microscopic techniques
· Laproscopic/thorascopic spine surgery

In addition, the fellow may participate in clinical and basic science research.

Applicants must have completed an orthopaedic or neurosurgical residency, be certified, or be board eligible.

Two positions are available starting August 1.

In light of the uncertainty of the Match Program, potential fellows are encouraged to send in their applications earlier rather than later to ensure timely review and interview offers.
